MAJOR
GIFTS We consider every gift a major gift, regardless of the amount.
Many churches and individuals have chosen to underwrite programs and support
specific needs to meet a crisis. Weve got ideas on how to maximize the
impact of your gifts
STOCK
GIFTS Giving securities is an effective way for thoughtful donors to make
charitable gifts of their long-term investments and bypass capital gains taxes.
We can inform you of two convenient ways to make your gift: electronically
transfer the securities or send an unendorsed certificate and signed stock power
via mail in separate envelopes. If you would like to receive free valuable
information regarding gifting securities, please give us a call.
MATCHING
GIFTS Your gift could be double or maybe even tripled! If you are a
CAP donor, or are considering becoming one, you may be eligible through your
employer's matching gift program. Many companies will match donations made
by their employees, and retirees, in support of non-profit community service
organizations. Click the link below to learn more about and to see if your
employer participates.

WORKPLACE
CAMPAIGNS Payroll deduction is the easiest way to support your favorite charities on a regular basis. Christian Appalachian Project is a member of America's Charities federation. If your workplace offers America s Charities as an option for payroll deduction, CAPs number is #0428. Some employers offer a write-in option with workplace campaigns so please remember Christian Appalachian Project when your employer offers this option.
CORPORATE
GIFTS Many companies find that their corporate giving philosophy matches the goals of the Christian Appalachian Project. Oftentimes our donors who work for companies will recommend CAP for corporate grants. Contact the Planned and Major Giving Department for complete proposals for consideration of support.
BEQUESTS
& TRUSTS Many people choose to include their charitable interests in their long-range financial planning. A few of the most commonly used methods of giving through a will or trust is:
-
Giving a percentage of your assets
-
Giving a specific dollar amount
-
Giving a specific property
-
Giving all or part of the residue or "what is left" after you have met the needs of your loved ones
